Birth Packages

This package is great for support that is needed with pregnancy, labor, and birth. As a Doula I will provide emotional, physical and educational and non-judgemental support to help women have a safe, comfortable and empowering birth experience. I enjoy helping mother's get through pregnancy symptoms, educating them on the process of labor and delivery and helping them to create their birth plan to lay out the exact details in how they want to welcome their baby into the world! 

This package includes:

• (2) Two hour prenatal visits. (Visits will consist of practicing comfort measures, addressing concerns, preparing for labor and how I can support you!)
• Unlimited phone calls, text message and email support prenatally.
• Over the phone support offering comfort strategies and early labor management techniques.
• On call 24/7 at 38 weeks. 
• Help prepare birth plan.
• Keep you updated with resources!
• Arrival of doula when mother is ready for support. (This could be at home right before active labor or at the hospital.)
• Doula support throughout entire labor and a few hours after birth. (I will stay until mother is settled and comfortable.)
• Initial breastfeeding support immediately after birth to help baby latch on properly and encouragement of establishing breastfeeding.
• (1) One hour postpartum follow up home visit. (During this time I can answer any questions about the early postpartum stage.

Support that I can offer during labor includes:

• Advocacy 
• Explains procedures proposed by your caregiver and and allow you to think things through.
• Supportive of your decisions, even if they change from birth plan.
• Comfort measures (i.e breathing techniques, massages, hot and ice packs, encouraging best positions to help baby descend, showers and encouraging gestures)
• Suggest different ideas throughout your labor to help your labor progress, to help you get more comfortable, and to give you options and choices.
• Keep the environment (including everyone around you) feeling calm and supportive.
• Remind you of your preferences and goals when labor gets challenging.
• Help count contractions and help you relax when you are starting to feel pushy at the peaks of your contractions.
• Provide support for partner.
• Take photographs if wanted.

I accept payment in the form of certified checks and credit cards. Payments are required to be paid in full by 34th week for birth packages and before the start of services for postpartum packages. 

I understand that paying for a Doula can become expensive with having to prepare for other expenses for a newborn. I strongly believe that every mother that wants a Doula should be able to have one. I offer payment plans that require a deposit, which allows you to divide your remaining balance into installments instead of paying in full at once.
